Support V-Day DC
V-Day DC is proud to participate in the V-Day 2013 Campaign. We will be performing a V-Day benefit production of Eve Ensler’s award-winning play, “The Vagina Monologues,” to raise money and awareness for our beneficiary HIPS and V-Day’s spotlight campaign 1 Billion Rising. HIPS provides programming and advocates for sex workers in the DC metro area. We can use your help!
The Vagina Monologues in DC is one of thousands of events around the world, channeling creative energy into making a difference as part of the V-Day Campaign. The success of our production is possible, in large part, through the assistance and generosity of donors like you.
90 percent of our profits will go to the HIPS (Helping Individual Prostitutes Survive), a unique organization whose mission is to assist female, male and transgender individuals engaging in sex work in Washington, DC. Our proceeds will support their DC Client Services, which include, outreach, education, client advocacy, HIV testing, and peer support groups. HIPS’ dedicated staff and volunteers conduct outreach 3 nights per week from 11 pm – 8 am and connect with an average of 100 sex workers. In addition HIPS has a 24 hotline that provides counseling and referrals.
The other 10 percent of our profits will go to the 2013 V-Day spotlight campaign a global call to action to end violence against women and girls.

In-Kind Donations
Alternatively, consider making an in-kind donation of food or raffle items to support our fundraising efforts. All in-kind donations will be acknowledged in the performance program if received two weeks before the show. Past donations have included gift certificates, tickets to a show or museum, products, and free services.
Your donation is tax-deductible to our local beneficiary and V-Day, both registered 501(c)3 non-profits. To support our production, send an email to info@vdaydc.org. The deadline for all sponsorships is March 31, 2013 for inclusion in the program. Ads will be included on materials only after sponsorship is received.
